Bob Lord has been a resident of Carroll County for over ten years.  He was born in Germany into a military family and moved to the states when he was 11.  He settled in Maryland over 25 years ago. He is married with two elementary school aged children and an adult daughter. They live in Gamber.

After a successful career managing production at a Glen Burnie printing company, he became a stay-at-home dad a few years ago.  Last year, he opened Lord Industries, a banner and sign small business in Westminster.

He is a volunteer Parent Guide with Carroll County Public Schools and volunteers often in his children’s school. He is chair of the Community Advisory Council and a member of the Education That is Multicultural Council.  He was a nominee for the 2013 Carroll County Parent Involvement Matters Award.

He is founder of Carroll Values Education. Carroll Values Education promotes quality education for all children in Carroll County public schools. It is a permanent grassroots, non-partisan, community organization created by parents to inspire, inform, and empower citizens to advocate on behalf of Carroll County’s children and public education system. Membership is open to the public and includes concerned citizens, business owners and community members who value public education in Carroll County.
